Following the holidays that saw so many precipitations and a cold spell, the weather gods heard our race committee and delivered wonderful conditions for the first regatta in the Shallow Water Series - The Ice Breaker.
Brian Mason stepped in to run the races from Mariah as the RC boat. The windward leeward course for the pursuit race was set for 1nm.
Some confusion during the first race had half the fleet rounding a middle mark that was unexpected. That race 1 was thrown out. By then, the breeze had built up a bit.
5 more races were run. Course 1 saw some close finishes with Laser, Lido and C15 which validates some handicaps.
