Four Boats in the money at the Cal Yacht Club Sunset Series last Wednesday. Zephyr skippered by SC Jen Kitchen had the former owners Yoshi and Paul on board for a first place finish in Cruising B. Robert Decker chose not to single hand and took second place aboard Cuchulainn in PHRF C. Lenny Gordon took second in PHRF D aboard Sunshine (no Rosie this time) and Rascal with Kathy and Monica took third in Cruising A. Tim Doran had Witchcraft out with a new jib and Karyn Jones was also out in PHRF E with her able crew aboard Outrageous.

I (Bruce) and Vincent raced Capri 14.2 at WLYC in Westlake Village.

SCCYC was instramental in getting N2E established as the premier So Cal/Mex International regatta.
Jotham's Blue Northern finihed first in Cruz A Spin.
Rascal. skippered by Kathy, finished second in Race Division C.

Clear skies and wonderful breeze for this early season dinghy race

790 Miles to Cabo San Lucas. Lots of weather. Mike Blunt raced on Grand Illusion and Mark Brazil, Jotham Schwartz, Ryan Burke, and Thomas Lethonen all raced on Amazing Grace. Alec Offenberger raced on Westerly.

Great turnout, snipes, C15s and a laser.
Ole and Jotham dominate.
Got four races in with one thorw out.

Intra club race sailed to SM Buoy and back in the way formel commodore Phil Campbell sailed before the marina was built.

The 3rd installment in the series was a favorite for many which delivered great breeze into the late afternoon

The first in the series this year was chaired by long time Sunstroke participant Jim Ach who put his experience to good use with Dirk for assistance.

Opening Day is March 12. We've cleared the calendar of other events and the planning committee is working hard to make this first return to normal Opening Day a success.
