Going Places ... Argentina

This month, Coach Manny Resano brought three of the young sailors in our SCCYC Opti Team to Mar del Plata, Argentina, for the 59th International Yachting Week Regatta, hosted by the Club Náutico Mar del Plata and the Yacht Club Argentino. Expecting big wind and waves, the team instead found light winds and stormy conditions as they competed strongly against 281 Opti sailors from around the world. A notable highlight of the trip was the exchange of burgees between Yacht Club Argentino and SCCYC, so that we can each hang a symbol of the friendship and Corinthian spirit between our two clubs.
